How long does a credit card payment made through the email link take to be deposited into the bank?

I'd be happy to let you know when QuickBooks deposits customer payments into your bank account, joshua-hancock-t.

For new QuickBooks Payments users, we'll deposit your funds within five business days. It may take a little longer while we set up your merchant account. Once completed, your payments will be deposited faster, typically within two business days.

Also, the deposit speed influences how long it takes to receive customer payments in your bank account after they have been processed. Standard deposits process every day except for Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. While Instant deposits process every day of the year with no exceptions.

Let's go to the Payments tab to see how long it takes for you to receive payments. I'm here to walk you through the process.

Here's how:

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), go to the Gear icon in the upper right and choose Account and settings under Your Company.
  2. Head to the Payments menu on the left panel to view more details about your merchant account.
  3. From there, review the Deposit Speed section.

I've included an article that goes over the processing times for standard and instant deposit speeds: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payment. It also contains a list of instructions for checking the status of deposits and specific customer payments.

For answers to frequently asked questions about the payments function and steps to accepting electronic customer payments for online invoices and in-person sales, see the following resources:

Keep in touch if you require further assistance processing your customers' transactions and other QuickBooks concerns. I'll jump right back in to help. Stay safe and have a great weekend.
