Buy now & saveHello there, @thomasdmd. Allow me to provide some information regarding the availability and accessibility of the backup feature in QuickBooks Online.
In your current subscription plan, which is Simple Start, the backup feature is unavailable. Thus, you'll need to manually export your reports and lists to Excel and save them on your local hard drive for safekeeping. However, if you want the Backup and Restore feature, which allows you to automatically back up your data, you may consider upgrading your subscription plan to Advanced.
You'll have the option to look for a backup solution with similar functionality by checking out our App Center. There, you can browse and compare various backup applications and select the one that best meets your specific needs.
Moreover, I've added this article that covers various topics related to restoring your data, including the types of supported formats you can use and the maximum number of rows you can import: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.
Please don't hesitate to approach me if you have any other questions or concerns regarding your data in QuickBooks Online. Whether you need guidance on specific processes within the program or require further clarification on any aspect of your account, I'm here to offer my assistance and support.
Another option, you can convert your data to QB Desktop file format and use the trial version to access it.
