Let me share some insights about importing excel files from other QuickBooks versions to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).
Currently, we're unable to import reports or transactions in excel file from other QuickBooks versions to QBSE. The program only allows importing of banking transactions (csv file) as well as importing trips from MileIQ and Google trips.
If your trying to import older transactions from your bank, you can follow these steps below:
I've also included this article just in case your bank or credit card accounts isn't connected to QBSE: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Once you're done importing transactions from your bank, you can check out this link to guide you in reviewing those transactions: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Let us know if you still have other concerns about importing data to QBSE. We'll be here to help. Have a nice weekend!
QBSE is a stand alone product. You should use QB Online to import data from another QB Online account or a QB Desktop file.
