How to move credit card to sub account

I'm a bookkeeper, client has two credit cards linked through bank connection. One should be a sub account. QB does not allow me to change it to a subaccount. What can I do besides completely deleting the connected accounts to correct this?

How to move credit card to sub account

You need to disconnect both linked accounts first, hjcranford. Before you can add the other credit card as a subaccount and make sure to exclude all transactions in the For review section.

Here’s how to disconnect an account from online banking:

  1. Go to Transactions, then Bank transactions.
  2. Select the tile for the bank account.
  3. Select the pencil icon, then select Edit account info.
  4. Select the Disconnect this account on save checkbox.
  5. Select Save and Close.

Once done, proceed to link your bank account. It's important to note that before reconnecting to online banking, you need to know how your bank sends the downloaded transactions. If the transactions download to a single account, only connect the parent account. However, if the transactions download to individual sub-accounts, connect the sub-accounts and not the parent account.

You can visit this article for more details: About bank or credit card subaccount setup.

Once transactions are in, it's time to match and categorize them. They will go into your accounts after you review them:
