Let's perform a manual update to refresh the connection between your bank and QuickBooks Online (QBO), Daniel. This will prompt QuickBooks to retrieve the most recent transactions from your bank.
Manually updating the banking page in QBO helps restore the connection, ensuring that transactions appear correctly. Here’s how to do it:
- Navigate to the Transactions.
- Select the Bank transactions page.
- Click on Update.

If the downloads seem slow or appears to be stuck, it might be an issue on your bank’s side. Sign in to your bank's website and look for any announcements regarding new security requirements, as these can prevent QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
Additionally, you can manually import bank transactions into the program. This will allow you to enter older bank data into QBO.
Once the transactions are in QuickBooks, you’ll need to match and categorize them. They'll be recorded in your accounts after your review.
In case you'll need help in balancing your accounts, consider partnering with our QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted. They can guide you through this process accurately and improve your workflow.
