Hi there, Ali2.

 

You can manually update your bank account to refresh the connection. I'm here to guide you how.

  1. Select Banking from the left menu.
  2. Click the Update button in the upper right.
  3. Select Update Now.

However, if transactions are still not updating, you'll want to download transactions from your bank and upload them in QuickBooks Online (QBO) for the meantime. Please check this article for the detailed steps: Manually Upload Transactions In QBO.

Thank you for your response. I have gone through this process 3 times over the past couple of days and whilst the transactions upload the bank balance within QB hasn't changed? 

Do you think this is a technical problem with my account? If so, how do I speak to someone at QB, call and contact options not live?

I'd like to ensure that you bank balance gets updated so you can get back on track and have your records accurate.

 

If your bank transactions are downloading successfully in QuickBooks Online but the bank balance is not updating, this issue can be caused by the stored and corrupted data on your browser.

 

To fix this, I recommend accessing your account on a private window and run the bank update from there. If it it's now updating you can go back to your regular web browser and clear its cache.

 

At times, too much-accumulated cache files on your browser may lead to unexpected issues like the one that you've experienced. This simply needs to be removed to prevent this hurdle from happening again.

 

However, if doing this doesn't make a difference, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Team. They'll be able to check on your transactions and identify the reason behind this problem. They can also create an investigation ticket if necessary.

 

We've recently updated our customer care experience. The best way to reach our support team is to sign in to your account, select the Help icon on the top right, and then Contact Us at the bottom of the panel.
