I have just started syncing with Commerce Sync. I would like to know if someone uses this also. And how to handle the data that is synced into QB Online.

We have lots of customers who use the same integration, lydbrewer.

The data of the Commerce Sync will automatically sync to QuickBooks. All transactions will reflect on the Banking page.

From there, you’ll have to manually match and categorize them. This helps you link the transactions from Commerce and QuickBooks so there aren’t any duplicates. Here’s how:

  1. From the Banking tab, select Banking.
  2. Select a transaction under the For Review tab.
  3. Select the Find match button.
  4. Click Match.

To categorize the transactions, I’d still recommend reaching out to your accountant since this depends on how you set up the data with the Commerce Sync.

You can browse this article to know more about matching and categorizing transactions: Match, and Categorize Your Transactions.

Enjoy the rest of the day!

These are sales, refunds, tips and they show on the Sales tab.

Hi there, lydbrewer.

The information provided by my colleague above is when you connect your online banking into QuickBooks Online.

For the app, the data that is synced into QuickBooks Online shows in the Sales tab. You can match them with your online banking transactions.

Here's how:

1. Click the Banking at the left panel.

2. Select the transaction and click to expand the transaction to review the details.

3. If the match is correct, Under the Action column, select Match.

If you haven't connected your bank with our online banking, you can also proceed to reconciling your transactions.

Please check this article how to reconcile your accounts so they match your bank and credit card statements: Reconcile accounts in QuickBooks Online.

Please check this article on how to fix if your accounts in QuickBooks Online don't match your bank statements at the end of a reconciliation: Fix issues when you're reconciling accounts in QuickBooks Online.

Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns. Wishing you and your business continued success.
