I reviewed and updated all my 2023 business transaction last week. However, all the 2023 related tax calculation didn't get updated, the profit, expense, etc are correct.

How to fix this? All the 2023 tax year info are calculated before I made updates, and I can't find anywhere to change it. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Hello there,

I am here to share some information about updating tax calculations in QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE).

Since you mentioned that your profit and expenses were correct, may I know what information you updated in your tax information?

In the meantime, I suggest logging in to your QBSE account using a private browser. There are times when the browser you're using has data issues, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If this works, you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I suggest switching to a different supported browser.

Moreover, I'm adding this helpful article as your reference in filing your taxes in QBSE: QuickBooks Self-Employed annual tax guide.

Come back to this post if you have other questions about tax calculation in QBSE. I'll be here to lend a hand.
