I want to delete account?

I want to delete my whole account. I keep getting sent to an old US based Quickbooks SelfEmployed site, but I want to the AU only. So I want to delete it permanently. There seems to be no way to do this?

I want to delete account?

Hello there, @edwardradke.

I'll show you the best way you can delete your US-based QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account and help route you to the appropriate site so you can sign-up for your new AU-only account.

When you're no longer using your US-based QBSE account, you'll first need to cancel it before signing up for a new AU region account. Please note that your details from the US version of QBSE won't be deleted automatically after cancellation. You can still access your account through the end of your billing period. Then, we'll keep your data for one year to ensure the availability of your file for future use.

If you bought QBSE directly from QuickBooks or Intuit, follow these cancellation steps:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed in a web browser.
  2. Select the Gear ⚙ icon.
  3. Select Billing Info.
  4. Click Cancel subscription.

If you have a free trial or bought your subscription through a mobile app store, please check out this article for the detailed steps: Cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription.

Once you're done, let's go ahead and sign up for your new QBSE AU version account. I'd recommend using another email address when creating a new one so you can resubscribe. Then, follow the steps below to complete the process. Here's how:

  1. Go to this QuickBooks page
  2. Select the Self-employed tab
  3. Click Buy now & save or Free trial button. 81.PNG
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Now that you've created your new QBSE AU account, I've included three of our help articles so you can have a reference in learning the basics of the software, the taxes required for self-employed, and categorising your transactions accordingly.

Please know that you're always welcome to comment below if you have other concerns or follow-up questions about managing your QBSE account and self-employed transactions. I'm just around to help. Take care, and have a great day, @edwardradke.
