I understand the importance of importing transactions from Shopify to QuickBooks Online (QBO), iwan. I'm here to share insights about this.
It could be that the store address search is incorrect. This is why, the shop is not recognized. Ensure you're using the correct URL when logging into your Shopify.
Once logged in, it should display something similar to STORENAME.myshopify.com/admin. Let's remove the admin or anything after it so you are left with STORENAME.myshopify.com.
I've added a screenshot for your reference.

Yes, I did consider that possibility. I checked the store url and I saw it as the-potion-studio.myshopify.com
So I used the-potion-studio
All it does is log me into the store. That's all. I can see transactions etc, but no importing occurs and QBO does not advance to Step 3 Configuration. How can I force it to grab the data and bring it into QBO ?
I heard your point of view, iwan. I recognize your challenges about importing transactions from Shopify to QuickBooks Online.
If you haven't tried using the private browser, you can try performing the basic troubleshooting and importing the data there.
You can save time by using one of the following keyboard shortcuts:
If it works fine, go back to your original browser and clear its cache to start fresh, and to eliminate minor issues within QBO. You can also use another supported and up-to-date browser to narrow down the result.

Hi
Thanks for your response.
Unfortunately it did not work. The url is correct as far as I can tell, since it brings up the login dialog.
I log in and I am in my store, viewing everything.
QBO does not proceed to the 3rd step Configuration, though.
I am at a loss. Because it had worked before. But then I cancelled and inactivated that plan on QB and started a new one to start over. So now it wont work. Maybe the key is in that ?
Who can I contact at QB for this ? Contact us does not offer many good options. Only callback.
Please advise
Iwan A.

You can use the trial version of 3rd party connectors to isolate the problem.
Try another approach using a third-party tool, Skyvia. It’s a cloud-based platform designed to integrate data across multiple sources. It supports Shopify and Quickbooks as well.
To complete your task, you need to connect Shopify and Quickbooks to the platform and set up synchronization. This will help you avoid the problem of recognizing the shop by the first method.
You can find more information here.
Hope it will be useful
