If I disconnect my PayPal account will all my past transactions be deleted?

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing details on how disconnecting or deleting a bank account in QuickBooks Self Employed works. 

QuickBooks Self Employed allows you to delete or disconnect your connected accounts, erasing any online banking or credit card data. That being said, doing so will also eliminate all associated transactions with your bank account.

Here's how to delete data from connected bank and credit card accounts:

1. Go to the Gear or profile ⚙ icon.
2. Choose Bank Accounts.
3. Find the account you want to delete.
4. Select the trash icon in that section.
5. Type “DELETE” and select Delete to confirm.

Delete entries imported from a specific CSV:

1. Select the ⚙ icon and click Imports.
2. Choose the bank account you imported the CSV file into.
3. In the Files imported section, select the trash icon for a file.

Additionally, you also have the opportunity to hide your bank accounts to clean up your books. This stops QuickBooks from downloading new transactions, and you'll keep all the existing data. Please follow the steps below.

1. Open QuickBooks Self-Employed in a web browser.
2. Choose the Gear ⚙ icon and select Bank Accounts.
3. Find the account you want to hide.
4. In the Show Account section, select the toggle to OFF.

In case you want the account to be active again, repeat the steps, and select the toggle to ON.
