This process does not import the check number. It will only import the date, amount and description fields. Is there a way to also get the check number uploaded?
Let me share with you a few details about importing, jaramillo.
For now, you're unable to import check numbers in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You'll want to use a third-party application or manually enter the check number in your QBO account.
However, if you decide to use another application that you can integrate with QuickBooks, you'll want to search them on the hyperlink I've provided above and check out its reviews and ratings. For more questions about importing data, go through this article: Common Questions About Importing Data To QuickBooks Online.
After you have entered and written checks, you'll want to match the downloaded entry to what you've entered in QBO. To give you more information about the process, check this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

If you are using the importer tool as I mentioned earlier, you can put your check number in the Ref number field.
I did this but my description has employee numbers next to the employee name in the description. QB removes them. I have tried several formats and it only imports the name.
My description has employee numbers in it. QB will not import them!!
Is there a fee to use the 3rd party importer?
Hey there, @Kelly26.
Thanks for chiming in on this thread.
Depending on which third party importer you use will determine if there is a fee to use it. I recommend looking on the third party's website or plans and pricing.
I hope this answers your question. I'm only a reply away if you need me again. Bye for now!
Yes. You can check this one. If you are using QB Desktop, you can purchase a $199 one time license. You can get $100 cashback to purchase thru a partner.
