internal transfer from checking to MM acct.

QB posts both transactions (deposit and payment) in the checking acct. One clears the other doesn't so the acct won't reconcile. What do I do??

I'll make sure you're able to reconcile your account in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @tracy-simplifyor. This way, you can keep your account updated and manage transactions accordingly.

When you're managing your transactions through the account's register, you can either delete or manually Clear or reconcile the one that doesn't clear from your bank. This way, you can reconcile your account accordingly. To do this, here's how:

  1. Go to your Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find your bank account, then click the View register link.
  3. Locate and select the transaction (i.e., deposit or payment).
  4. Under the Checkmark column, click the blank box until a "C" or "R" appears.
  5. Click Save

On the other hand, when you're managing both transactions from the Banking menu's For review tab, you can Exclude one to keep it  from going into your bank register. You can either check out the screenshot below or refer to this article for the step-by-step guide: Exclude a bank transaction in QuickBooks Online

Once you're done, you can go ahead and reconcile your account. I'd recommend performing this process once a month to keep your financial data updated and detect any possible errors accordingly. For the detailed steps, you can refer to this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Also, to further help you in doing or fixing a reconciliation in QBO, I'd recommend checking out this article: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

Let me know in the comments if you have other banking and reconciliation concerns in QBO. I'm always around to help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @tracy-simplifyor.
