Is anyone else having trouble with their Etsy account connecting to Quickbooks? My transaction fees haven’t updated since February and I’m not able to connect my second shop.

Is anyone else having trouble with their Etsy account connecting to Quickbooks? My transaction fees haven’t updated since February and I’m not able to connect my second shop.

Hello there, chrissiebcreatio.

 

I've checked our records and did not find any issues related to Etsy. QuickBooks Self-Employed automatically downloads the latest available transactions every night.

 

Some banks may take a little longer. If you’re not getting the latest data, sign in to your Etsy account and check if there are any ongoing maintenance, or updates that needs your attention.

 

Otherwise, manually refresh the connection of your account by following these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Gear located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Select Bank accounts.
  3. In the Bank accounts page, click the Refresh all button.

Once updated, go to the Transactions page and review if the new transactions are added. Then, you can start categorizing the data by following the steps in this article: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Unfortunately, it will not load. And when I try to add my second Etsy shop, it gives me the following error

Thanks for the update, @chrissiebcreatio. I'm here to guide you on the next steps you can take to help isolate your connection concern between Etsy and QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

 

I can see you're adding your second Etsy shop using the QBSE mobile app. To better isolate this issue, I recommend logging into QBSE and connect your account using the web browser. 

 

Then, you'll have to visit Etsy's website to check for messages, notifications, or alerts that need your attention. After that, log back into your QBSE account to refresh the connection. Please see the screenshot below for your reference.

 

 

Once your second Etsy shop is connected and downloaded your transactions, you'll have to categorize them to keep your financial data accurate. You can refer to this article for the detailed steps: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

 

Also, in case the issue persists, you can opt to import your Etsy transactions manually. Then, contact our Customer Care team to investigate this further.
