I'll provide some guidance on configuring issues with synchronization between Mercury Bank and QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Firstly, could you let me know if you're seeing a particular error message on your side? There could be several factors causing your bank to not synchronize in QBO. The issue can be on your bank's end.
To confirm this, you can visit the website of your bank or credit card provider. If you're unsure of the URL to use, you can locate it by navigating to Bank Transactions, clicking on Link account, searching for your bank, selecting it, and copying the provided URL. Then log in to the website of your bank or credit card. If you see one, you can contact them to seek advice on the best course of action to take.
If you're able to log in successfully, this generally indicates that there isn't a significant issue. Once logged in, do the following on your bank’s website:
If all appears normal, return to QuickBooks and go to Transactions, then select Bank Transactions and click on Update.
For more detailed information on what to do if you don't see recently downloaded bank transactions, you can check this article: Bank errors and missing transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Furthermore, QuickBooks automatically downloads transactions up to a specific date. If you need to enter older transactions, can't locate your bank, or are unable to connect it to QuickBooks, you have the option to manually upload transactions in QBO.
In addition, you can match and categorize your transactions and reconcile them to ensure your books are accurate and there aren't any duplicate transactions:
