We hear you, @billing108. I appreciate you for performing some basic troubleshooting steps before posting here. Allow me to help you fix the error this time.
Before we proceed, may I know what specific bank institution you are having issues with? This way, we'll be able to determine the origin of the issue and fix it.
Since the error persists after you perform the troubleshooting steps, we can run the manual update to refresh the connection between QuickBooks and your bank. This updates all your connected bank and credit card accounts. I'll show you how:
You can also visit this article for more ways how to fix specific issues in the banking section: Fix specific bank errors.
For now, you can manually upload your bank transactions to continue your daily banking tasks.
If the accounts won't update even after doing the steps above, I recommend reaching Live Support Team so they can look into this issue further. They have all the necessary tools to pull up your account securely and find out the root cause of the error.
They can only accommodate you Mondays to Fridays from 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturdays from 6 AM to 3 PM PT.
Once everything is fine, it's best to review and categorize your downloaded bank transactions and put them in the right accounts.
Let me know in the comments below if you have additional questions about managing your bank transaction. I'll be around to lend a hand.
The bank is Chase - a normal business checking account.
I've tried the following and still no luck
- Updating the connection as described from the Bank Transactions page
- Removing the connection altogether and setting it up from scratch
- Removing the connection again and manually uploading transactions exported from a csv
- Downloading the Quickbooks accounting iOS app and trying to access Bank Transactions from there
It seems like there's an broader issue with the application itself and that this isn't a one-off issue with my account. Verification (and broader communication) of that would be appreciated.
