Mobile Check Deposit option disappeared

I've had mobile check deposit privileges since I opened a QuickBooks Online checking account and have deposited all of my client checks using this feature. Today, I went to deposit a check I received, and the mobile check deposit was gone. There was no notice or warning and no explanation. What is happening?

Mobile Check Deposit option disappeared

We've got some troubleshooting steps to restore the missing mobile check deposit feature on your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile application, Knoll.

When the app's storage data is almost at its limit, it causes odd behavior where the features, data, and some icons disappear. To show the mobile check deposit option, we can delete the cache from your application to use it again with a clean slate and all of its capabilities at your convenience. Here's how:

  1. Click the menu at the top right corner of your device.
  2. Next, choose Help & Feedback.
  3. Select Refresh Data.
  4. Press Refresh.

Once done, close and reopen the mobile app and use the mobile check deposit to deposit funds into QuickBooks Checking using your QBO mobile app. Let me guide you on how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online app from a mobile device.
  2. Click Cash Flow.
  3. Select Send Money from the QuickBooks Checking home page.
  4. Tap Deposit checks.
  5. Enter the check amount and make sure it isn’t more than the limit shown on the screen.

Then, proceed to Steps 2 and 3 to finish the process in this article: Use mobile check deposit with QuickBooks Checking.

If you continue to get the same result, please uninstall and reinstall the application to start fresh. Follow the steps below:

  1. Tap and hold QuickBooks Online on your phone.
  2. Drag the app to the Uninstall section.
  3. Press Yes to confirm.

Once you have successfully deposited a check, receiving your funds takes five business days. To learn more about this one, refer to this article: Find out more about mobile check deposits.
