Join nowThanks for posting in the Community, @okwalden4. Let me explain why transactions aren't showing even though the account is linked in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).
Bank transactions normally display when the account is connected in QBSE. To better assist you with your concern, may I ask for more information, such as the name of your bank, if you are encountering any error messages on your screen, and a screenshot of the issue? This will help us determine the appropriate solution to address your needs.
In the meantime, I recommend contacting your financial institution if they're under system maintenance.
Also, I've added this article to learn how to categorize the transactions you download from your bank or enter into QuickBooks: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Please click the Reply button should you need additional assistance managing your bank transactions and any QBSE-related queries. I'll keep an eye out for it. Have a good day ahead.
I bank with wells fargo. I've just noticed that for the year 2023, November and December transactions are missing. There are also transactions missing throughout the year. I've downloaded the year 2023 transactions from my banks website but now I fear duplicate transactions showing up
I appreciate you for taking the time to come back to this thread and providing us with the name of your bank. This helps us understand your situation better, okwalden.
Have you recently connected your bank account to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE)? While waiting for your response, please note that the system will only download your recent transactions automatically from the day you connect your bank account. Generally, it brings data up to 90 days, but this can vary depending on the bank.
To get transactions that occurred more than 90 days ago, you can download them from your bank's website, just as you have already done. Then, manually upload these transactions into QuickBooks. There will be no duplicate transactions, as they are not included in the automatic download. Here's how:
You can check this article for more information: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
If you have previously connected your account and you are expecting to receive those transactions, I recommend accessing your QBSE account through an incognito window or other supported browsers for better experience.
You can also visit your bank's website to check if there's ongoing maintenance on their end.
Refer to these articles when reviewing your transactions:
