I appreciate what you've done so far. Allow me to help you manage your missing transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
First off, would you mind if I ask what bank are you currently using? This is for me to look at our records if we happen to receive similar reports about your bank.
If so, I encourage you to use incognito or any browser when logging in to your bank website to check if there's a maintenance or alerts that needs attention. You can also manually refresh your bank so it'll download the missing entries.
Here's how:
Additionally, here's an article that you can browse through on how to check the format of the CSV file you got from your bank to upload transactions into QBO: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.
Once all your transactions are all in, you can also check this article to learn how to review downloaded bank and credit card transactions: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
If you have any other concerns about banking transactions, feel free to come back to us anytime. Have a lovely day, and stay safe.
You can use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.

I am missing transactions across the board on my accounts from june until november. Accounts include paypal, first hawaiian bank, and Capitol one. It's like my quickbooks just stopped recording transactions for about 5 months. I am using quickbooks self employed
Try using csv2qbo converter tool as mentioned by 4Gal
I understand how concerning this must be for you, especially when dealing with missing transactions from June to November. I'll provide resolutions to restore them in QuickBooks Self-Employed, Maui.
Firstly, have you come across any specific error messages? If so, could you please provide details about the error below? This information will assist us in pinpointing the issue more effectively.
Let's start by updating the transactions to refresh the connected bank and credit card accounts. It will let us download transactions from the past 90 days. Also, please check if you see any error messages during this process. I'll show you how:

If the manual update doesn't solve the issue, please log into your bank or credit card's website and look for any messages, notifications, or alerts that may be blocking QBSE from accessing your transactions.
Moreover, this article guides you on how to categorize your transactions once you enter transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
