My cash account is incorrect

Hi everyone!

I recently noticed that my "cash account" is negative and looking into it, it seems like I accidentally chose that as the account for quickbooks to register the money being drafter out for payroll. Is there a way to fix it?

Could I go to Reconcile and just adjust to Zero?

I don't want to mess our bookkeeping when the end of year comes >:(

Thanks in advance!

My cash account is incorrect

I've got your back to help fix the incorrect cash account, @DrOck8.

The balance you see on the Cash Flow menu is always the most up-to-date. The Banking or Transactions menu processes the data so it's included in your accounting. This data gets updated automatically once a day. You can always select Update in the Banking menu to get the latest available data.

Let's make sure that what's in your register is accurate before reconciling it. We can adjust it to zero and then correct your payroll settings. This way, you can use the correct bank account when running payroll. For more details, please see this article: Manage your payroll accounting settings.
