My last years transactions are not showing

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, chopddowney.

Let me provide insights on how bank entries work in QuickBooks Online. I've also got instructions to ensure your last year's data appears on the program smoothly.

First off, may I know which bank institution you are using? Is this your first time linking your bank account to the program? This information will help me identify any reported issues related to your experience.

When connecting your bank and credit card accounts, some financial institutions allow you to download transactions from the last 90 days, while others can go back as far as 24 months. Since your bank only shows this year's transactions, I recommend contacting their support to ask permission to let you set the download from last year's statement

However, if your bank simply authorizes you to import the last 90 days of transactions, you have to manually upload the entries into QuickBooks. To begin the process, you need to download CSV files of your transactions from your bank.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow the methods on how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps.
  3. Ensure the date range for the download begins at least one day before your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.

Once done, you can open this article to see additional instructions on how to complete the procedure and start following step 3: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

In case you need steps on how you can match or add downloaded entries to avoid duplicate data, you can read this article: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I'll always be around in this thread if there's anything else you need further assistance with managing your bank transactions in QBO. Feel free to let me know in the comments below, chopddowney. Keep safe and have a good one!
