I'm here to help you get rid of that error, christinaknight.

Whenever we visit a website, your browser will store the site data in its memory.  When it accumulates, your browser will keep loading the old, cached version of the file causing browser errors like run time error, missing buttons on the page, or unable to import/export data.

We can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to fix this. Let's start by accessing your QBSE in a private window. This mode doesn't save your browsing history, cache and cookies, and information entered in forms. Check out the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Mozilla Firefox (CTRL+SHIFT+P)

  • Microsoft Edge (CTRL+SHIFT+P)

  • Google Chrome (CTRL+SHIFT+N)
  • Safari (⌘+SHIFT+N)

Once done, let's start importing your data again. If it succeeds, we'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to eliminate the junk files.

If you still encounter the same error, we can use other supported browsers. The one you're currently working on may have a temporary issue with QuickBooks. Using a different one for the meantime will help you get back to work.

Let me know how it goes in the comment section, as I want to ensure that you can successfully import your data. You can always find me here if you have QuickBooks-related concerns or questions.
