Hey there, @welwyn1021.

Thank you for sharing your concern with us. I'll share with you the steps on how to fix the balance in your reconciled accounts in QuickBooks.

Once a reconciled transaction is edited, saving its changes will put your account out of balance the next time you reconcile. This is the reason why your end reports don't match.

To correct it, you'll have to manually undo (blank) each of your previous reconciled transactions and reconcile them again. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Accounting tab on the left panel.
  2. Under Your Company, select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Choose the account you’re working on, and click on View Register.
  4. Select the transactions you want to unreconcile.
  5. Keep on clicking the R status until it shows blank or cleared (C).
  6. Click on Save.
  7. Choose Yes in the confirmation window.

Additionally, I'd recommend reaching to your accountant before taking these steps. This way, we can make sure your books are accurate.

You can also ask them if they are using QuickBooks Online Accountant. This way, they can use their tool that can undo your entire reconciliation with ease.

Once you know your bank account's balance is correct, you can start reconciling again. In case you see issues in the middle of your reconciliation, here's what you should review.

Keep me posted if you need anything else or if you have other questions about managing your accounts in QuickBooks. I'll be here to help. Have a great weekend.
