No pop up window after clicking make deposit

We can perform some steps to see the pop-up window again, Memo79.

First, download the latest product updates to ensure you have the recent update of QuickBooks. Doing this prevents us from experiencing data corruption and file issues. Here's how:

1. From the QuickBooks▼ dropdown, select Check for QuickBooks Updates.
2. If a newer version is available, click Install Update.
3. When prompted, click Install and Relaunch.
4. When the update is complete, QuickBooks for Mac automatically opens.

Once done, we can run the Verify and Rebuild Data within your company file to fix issues.

1. Select File, then select Utilities.
2. Select Verify Data. Then, OK to close all windows.

Thank you..  I will try the update in a little bit.but..  my qb software is probably from 2020..  I surely hope I don't need to buy a new version..  just an update..  I'll come Back to let you know my findings.. thanks 

Hello..  I updated the software and the rebuild/verify twice and nothing..  still no pop up window..  is there another way to record the checks?

Let's test a sample company to identify if there's a problem with your file. Follow these steps:

1. Launch QuickBooks. 
2. If your company file opens up automatically, go to the File menu and choose Close Company. The No Company Open dialog box will appear. 
3. Click the Open a sample file drop-down menu and click to select the sample business that most closely matches your own.

Then, try recording a bank deposit to see if the Payments to Deposit window pops up. If it works, I recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team support. They can perform further troubleshooting to fix this company file issue. Otherwise, you'll want to reinstall QuickBooks for Mac to start the program with a clean slate.

Meanwhile, you may consider receiving payments and putting them right into your bank. This way, you won't have to create a separate transaction for deposits.

1. From the Customers menu, choose Receive Payments.
2. Select Create a Payment.
3. Fill out the fields.
4. Pick the outstanding invoices and charges you're receiving the payment for. A check appears next to the invoice or charge.
5. Click Deposit to and enter the name of the bank account where you would like QuickBooks to deposit the payment.
   
6. Hit Save.

Hello..  those 2 deposits were actually in my check register but dated 2021..  I don't know why it was in 2021 since I received payment and made deposit in 2022 , invoices were from 2021 though..  the qb staff that helped me made me realize that..  now I can move forward..  thanks
