Online Banking Problem

Hi,

I've been using QB''s desktop for Mac for decades.  Every since I updated my Mac desktop a few months ago - when I got to online banking and start putting each registry expenditure of "Downloaded Transactions" into the right category - even though I have ""Show Matched", as soon as I match a line up it disappears from my registry.  Every single "Downloaded Transaction" that I've saved for years is now gone.

This is a big problem for me as I like to go back and recheck my registries.  I want to see every downloaded expense.  But I no longer can.  How do I fix this?  HELP!

Thank you in advance!!

I appreciate your loyalty to our product, @Jane29, and understand the importance of keeping track of your bank transactions. Let's utilize the Verify and Rebuild Data tools to help restore your missing downloaded transactions into QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

Since you've already updated QuickBooks to the latest version, we can proceed with the steps to perform the Verify and Rebuild tools.

Here's how to verify data:

  1. Go to the File menu and select Utilities.
  2. Choose Verify Data, then click OK to close all windows. If you see the prompt "Your data has failed the integrity check," you'll need to rebuild your file. If there are no issues with your data, you’re done.

If there are problems with your company file, you'll need to rebuild it:

  1. Go to the File menu and select Utilities.
  2. Choose Rebuild Data, and then click OK.
  3. Tap OK to make a backup to prevent data loss along the process.
  4. Hit OK to continue the rebuild process.

For more insights about the verify and rebuild process, you can check out this article: Verify and rebuild data in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

Once you've restored your transactions, refer to this article to ensure your QuickBooks matches your bank and credit card statements: Reconcile accounts in QuickBooks for Mac.

Feel free to respond in this thread if you have any clarifications or additional concerns about managing your bank transactions in QuickBooks. I'm always here to help you.

Online Banking Problem

I followed these instructions and the system said that "no problems" have been found.
I reopened my Online Banking, chose a Downloaded Transaction and entered it.  It also disappeared from the download registry.
Just like all the rest.

This unfortunately did not solve this issue.

Online Banking Problem

Hello @Jane29 , with the newer version of QuickBooks Desktop Mac, once you close out of the Download Transactions Window or change the account being used, QuickBooks will remove the matched transactions from the list.  If that list becomes too large it can affect performance when attempting to match transactions.
