Attempting to record incoming sales receipts from paypal. The amounts come through indicating Gross and PayPal fees, but we are not using the Connect to Paypal App. I am trying to Add these transactions and continue to get error that I need to edit Connect to Paypal settings. Error reads: We are not able to find an expense account to record the PayPal fees for this transaction. Please go to your PayPal Connection settings to set a fee account.

How do they come through then?
Since I posted this I have bigger issues. The PayPal bank account was suddenly not available for me to view, and looking at the audit log it said I deleted it. I did not delete it. I went to Banking and tried to add PayPal back, Connect to PayPal is my only option. Possibly they were using it and were just not aware.
How can I tell if we are using Connect to PayPal App? Last bookkeeper is gone. I just started.
Hello there, dineskd.
I want to share some information about connecting your PayPal bank account in QuickBooks Online.
Accountants or bookkeepers can add or remove apps for a client using QuickBooks Online Accountant. Since the bookkeeper is no longer connected, they might have removed the PayPal app.
You can sync your transactions again by using the Connect to Paypal app. Once your account is connected, your Paypal transactions will now show on the Banking screen of QuickBooks.
Please follow the outlined steps in this article: Connect to PayPal Guide.
