I have been struggling since mid-October 2019 with this issue and hasn't been fixed.
Our checking account all of the sudden stopped syncing with QB, and every time I log in to add it, it only shows a list of credit cards that are already syncing with no problem but not the checking account. Bank of America login hasn't changed, the checking account is active and there are no changes made on our end.
Does anyone else have the same issue and know a way to fix it? We pay for this service but it's not even fulfilling our needs...
Hi there, iayaiaya,
Thank you for sharing your experience with the syncing issue with Bank of America (BOA) in QuickBooks.
There are several investigations reported by our Online Banking Team about the connection with BOA. I'd appreciate if you can update this post by providing the exact error so I can check here on my end.
I also suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online Technical Team so they can add your account to the investigation. By doing so, you'll receive an update regarding the issue via email.
In the meantime, I suggest downloading transactions from your bank. Then, manually import to bring them in to QuickBooks.
Here's how:
Keep me posted if you have follow-up questions and I'll get back to you.
I can sync with my BofA account but weirdly it will not sync June 2020 thru November 2020. I have the sync set to "All" What am I missing?
Thank you for joining the thread, Kelly.
Once your bank is connected to QuickBooks, it automatically downloads the latest transactions from your bank account. For 90 days or older transactions, you need to upload them to QuickBooks manually using an Excel CSV file. I can help you with the process.
As an initial step, get the transactions from your bank:
Then, review the file from your bank. Make sure that it's in the correct format to avoid issues during the process. The maximum file size is 350 KB. If the file is too big, shorten the date range and download transactions in smaller batches.
You can open this link to learn more about the correct format of the CSV file you got from your bank.
After that, you're now ready to upload the file into QuickBooks Online.
Once the transactions are available in QuickBooks, here's how you can review and categorize them.
