The work around is to go to the check register and manually enter the payment and once I do that it matches with the originally downloaded entry, but obviously that is more time consuming.
How can I fix this? I've already tried a utility rebuild. I can't tell you how much time this is taking for what has always been a quick and easy issue.
Good day, @wowstudio.
Thanks for sharing your concern in the QuickBooks Community page.
Upon checking, I've found out that there's a similar post for this question. My colleague JasroV has already provided an answer to this.

Feel free to comment on this thread if you have any follow-up questions or concerns in recording transactions in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. I'd be glad to provide the steps. Stay safe and well!
Thank you for your suggestions, though I find them completely unhelpful. I have been using Quickbooks for over a decade. I know how to download, edit and clear transactions. There is a software glitch that occurred when I upgraded to QB Desktop for Mac 2022 that I am unable to fix. Every time I go to edit the Payee of a downloaded transaction, the system pulls from the gl account code database rather than the vendor or customer database.
I was hoping someone would have a fix for this because I am unable to call QB Support during their business hours.
Thanks for getting back to us, wowstudio.

You can use the WebConnect feature. This allows you to download bank transactions from your financial institution and upload them into your QuickBooks.
Also, you'll want to check with your bank if what are the supported connections in your QuickBooks Desktop.
Additionally, I'd suggest contacting our Technical Support team for further assistance. They can pull up your account in a secure environment, and check as to why you have this issue.
Here's how to reach them:
