Hello, mdstaz.
It looks like your question was cut off. Though, I'm still willing to help you out with the American Express bank transactions.
Are the American Express transactions automatically matched or added to your books? If so, you'll want to undo them to bring them back to the For review tab.
Here's how:
- Go to the Banking page.
- Click the Categorized tab.
- Look for the transactions, then click Undo.
You can also select them in batch then, click the Undo button.
The bank rules can cause QuickBooks to automatically add or match those transactions. The next thing to do is to edit or change the bank rules (if necessary).
In the Banking page, click the Rules tab. Then, review or edit the rules set for the transactions.
If you need help editing your bank rules, you can check this article: Setup bank rules to categorize online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online.
However if that's not the case, are the transactions simply matched to a different record in QuickBooks? The system will scan for potential matches in the For review tab. It will depend on certain parameters such as the date and the amount.
If the system suggests an incorrect match, you'll simply want to review and match those transactions manually. Here's how:
- In the For review tab, find and select the transactions.
- Click the Find match button.
- Select the correct record in QuickBooks.
- Hit Save.
You can find out more about adding or matching transactions in this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Ready to close your last month's financials after fixing the transactions? You can check this article if you're ready to reconcile your bank: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
I'm ready to help out again if you have more concerns regarding the Online Banking feature. I can also assist you with any other concerns you might have for QuickBooks Online.
