Join nowQuick Books Online has duplicated 5 deposits from 2019 and these are showing as payments making my balance in my operating account a negative amount. Has anyone has similar problems and do they know how to solve
I appreciate you for sharing the information with me, @michelle55.
We can delete those duplicate transactions to resolve this issue. This way, it’ll no longer show a negative amount in your operating account. I’d be glad to guide you how.
Before we start, I recommend getting in touch with your accountant for additional guidance in deleting those duplicates. This way, we can guarantee your account is well recorded after deleting those deposits.
If you’re not affiliated with one, you can visit our ProAdvisor page and will help you find one from there. Once done, you can now follow these steps:
When everything looks good, you can now confidently reconcile your accounts in QBO.
If there’s anything else you need assistance with, you’re always welcome to share them with me. It’s always my pleasure to back you up and keep you in working order.
Unfortunately this will not work.
I have spent over an hour with QB people - deleted the deposit - and it threw my accounts oob
Then they told me it didnt matter if my qbonline operating account didnt match my online banking balance.
I then just hung up.
I will be going back to desktop ( and that is a whole story in itself) once we have closed the books on 2020.
I too am ready to go back to Desktop. I am spending hours and hours just trying to catagorize, remove duplicates and manually enter transactions. Also, QB clears transactions which have not appeared on my statement yet causing my statement to never balance. After almost two years, I realize I spent much less time and aggravation. I'd rather enter transactions manually and get them right the first time, then have to go through and correct most of the downloaded transactions.
