Quickbooks Desktop 2021 Receipt Management

Does the new Desktop 2021 receipt management feature allow for approval by a supervisor between employees uploading and categorizing their receipts and the transaction posting to the register? We also have multiple employees with company-issued credit cards - can employees be "assigned" credit card feeds so they are only seeing their transactions?

Quickbooks Desktop 2021 Receipt Management

Hi @SarahRBA,

 

Welcome to the Community. Let me share what I know about the receipt management feature in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

An option or ability to approve receipts uploaded, categorized, and posted to the register is unavailable. The only workaround is to customize the access of your employees so they can only upload receipts.

 

Once the data is in QuickBooks, they'll reflect in the For Review tab. The supervisor can review, edit, and match receipts to transactions.

 

To edit user roles:

 

  1. Click the Company tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Hover your cursor to users, then select Set up Users and Roles.
  3. Highlight the user and select Edit
  4. Make the necessary changes.
  5. Hit OK.
