When trying to download transactions from my bank, I've received the same error each day for three days: "QuickBooks is unable to log in to your Intuit Account at this time. Please try again later."
I am using the latest version, there are no available updates and everything worked fine prior to Wednesday. When I attempt to download transactions, it asks me to log in to Intuit (it doesn't always do this, but from time to time it does). Once I log in and it sends me the code via text message, I enter it and then I receive this error message telling me QB is unable to log in at this time. Anyone else experiencing this? Thank you in advance!
Thanks for reaching out to the Community, jlk2021. I appreciate your detailed information.
Since you're receiving a "QuickBooks is unable to log in to your Intuit Account at this time. Please try again later." error message after signing in to the Intuit Account with your multi-factor authentication code, I'd recommend confirming the code wasn't expired. If you wait too long, your code could expire, then you have to generate a new one by using the resend code option.
In the event you've already confirmed your code wasn't expired, and it continues occurring with other non-expired codes, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.
They can be reached while using QuickBooks.
Here's how:
Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
I've also included a detailed resource about working with multi-factor authentication which may come in handy moving forward: Verify your Intuit Account with multi-factor authentication or two-step verification
I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have an awesome day!
Thank you for the reply. That was not the solution, but a call in to the help desk did result in a solution. (unfortunately it was a $700 solution, but it's all fixed now!)

Which QB Desktop year version do you have?
I was running QB Desktop for Mac 2021. It stopped being able to sign in to intuit and I was told support would end for the product in March anyway so an upgrade seemed inevitable. But what used to cost $500 every three to four years is all of a sudden $700 per year as a subscription, so that part was quite jarring.
Have you upgraded to QB Desktop 2024?
Contact me in private and we share another option to lower your cost.
What solved this issue for me in Quickbooks Desktop for Mac 2021 was going to Quickbooks>Settings>Intuit Account and signing back in there. I was then able to download credit card transactions once again.
