Bank Account won't connect

Hello Community! I am having an issue with Bank Connections. I recently disconnected my Bank Account from a Quickbooks account and now I'm trying to connect the same Bank account to a newly purchased QuickBooks Account and it's giving an Error "You're already sharing data from these accounts". Do anyone know the solution?

Bank Account won't connect

I appreciate you reaching out to us, Muhammad. I've come to share details about the bank connectivity error you encountered when linking them to QuickBooks Online (QBO0.

Beforehand, may I know what bank you're using when trying to connect them to your new QuickBooks account? Any additional information is much appreciated, as this will help me check if there are similar reports or cases from the other users.

In the meantime, let's manually check if the bank account is disconnected from the Chart of Accounts. This way, it would help us identify and ensure that this error message will no longer exist when connecting them to your new QBO account. To begin:

  1. Go to the Bookkeeping tab and select Transactions.
  2. Under the bank transactions tab, select the affected bank account.
  3. Tap Edit and click Edit account info.
  4. From the Account box, hover to the bottom and check Disconnect this account on save.
  5. Once done, select Save and Close.

Once the bank is successfully disconnected, you can now link your bank account to your newly purchased QBO account.

Moreover, you can categorize and match these bank transactions once everything is on track. Doing so will help you review and place them in the correct accounts.

You can always leave a reply below if you have additional questions about bank connectivity in QBO. We'd be glad to assist you further. Take care!

Bank Account won't connect

Hey @FateCandylaneT

Thank you for your response! I have already disconnected the affected Bank Account from our previous QuickBooks and it's not appearing in that QuickBooks as well (which means it is disconnected); however, while I was trying to connect the same account to our new QuickBooks it's showing the message that "You're already sharing data from these accounts" (Screenshot attached)

Bank Account won't connect

Thank you for getting back and providing us with more details about the error you're having when trying to reconnect your bank account,

@Muhammad Naushad Khan.

There's an ongoing issue when trying to connect a bank account in QuickBooks. Some of our customers are receiving the "you're already sharing data from these accounts" error message. Our Product Engineering team is already aware of the issue and is working on a solution.

In the meantime, I suggest contacting our Customer Support Team, so you'll be added to the list of affected users and receive an email notification once we resolve the issue.

You can reach our Customer Support for QuickBooks Online (QBO) by going to the Help icon at the top right of the account. Then, let them add you to Investigation No. 81696.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Help icon to connect to a live support agent.
  2. Provide us with some information about your concern.
  3. Select the Contact Us button and provide some details about this concern, then on the Let's talk button.
  4. You'll now be provided options on how to connect to our Customer Support.

You can check this article for more information about the different types of support we offer and their availability: QuickBooks Online Support

While we're still working on a fix, you can manually add your bank transactions through the WebConnect process. Here's more information about downloading the transactions from the bank. Then, upload the file to your account: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Then, here's how you can reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online to make sure that your accounts in QBO match your bank and credit card statements.

Please know that you can always drop by here if you need any further help with your bank account. I'll be happy to assist you further. Have a wonderful day!
