I'll share some information on why your bank account has a lesser balance than your QuickBooks balance.

There are several reasons why your QuickBooks balance doesn't match your bank account balance. The following are the factors that are causing this discrepancy:

• Handwritten checks that have already cleared your bank but have not been entered into the check register may cause discrepancies in balance.
• If you have debit cards linked to your bank account that isn't linked to your QuickBooks account, the bank may have a lower balance due to QuickBooks not collecting all activity.
• The invoice is marked as Paid within QuickBooks but the payment is yet to be made to your bank account.
• If your customer has permitted you to issue an ACH (Automatic Clearing House, or auto-draft) payment, the payment will appear in QuickBooks as money available but will not be credited to your bank account until a few business days later.

To fix this issue, manually update your bank account to ensure you have the latest transactions cleared from your bank. Then, you can open and match the balance. I'll show you how.

1. Go to the Banking menu, then choose the blue tile for your account that you wish to review.
2. Click the Update button to ensure you have the most recent transactions from your bank.
3. After that, go to the For Review tab.
4. Select the transaction to expand the view.
5. If you see a transaction that says "Records found," you should look into it. To view more details, click on the link for each record.
6. Hit on the Match button or Add if you haven't found a match.
