Thank you for the screenshot, David.
Allow me to chime in and provide clarifications so your bank transactions page will show the date of potential matching transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
To begin with, the view or interface you're currently having is Business view, which doesn't have the option to display the date of Category or Match. To resolve this, you can simply switch back to Accountant view.
Here's how:

If the issue persists, sign in to QuickBooks using an incognito or private browser, or try other browser troubleshooting options.
I'll also add this article to guide you in reconciling your accounts so they always match your bank and credit card statements: Reconcile an account

I've checked in our QuickBooks Test Drive account and can confirm when one match is found for a transaction, its date, along with other data, is displayed in your CATEGORY OR MATCH column.
Here's an image showing the column and matching data in it:
When more than one potential match is found for a transaction, QuickBooks will display a message in your CATEGORY OR MATCH column saying how many matches were found.
You can expand these transactions with multiple matches to view more details about each match.
If your CATEGORY OR MATCH column isn't displaying match data for transactions that have one matching record, initially make sure the column is expanded to show all of its data.
If it continues not displaying your column properly, you can try clearing cached data and Intuit-specific cookies. Sometimes these temporary files can cause display issues with certain webpages. In the event it continues, I'd recommend confirming you meet each of our system requirements.
I've also included a detailed resource about matching transactions which may come in handy moving forward: Match online bank transactions
Please don't hesitate to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have an awesome Monday!
That is what my Transactions screen looked like until recently. It seems that an update has been rolled out. The old "Category or Match" column that you see has been replaced by "ASSIGN TO" which shows the name and amount of the potential match, but not the date. There is also a little 'atom' symbol. Can you see this new version?
Thanks for checking back with us, @DavidDean.
I pulled up both of my test accounts and couldn't see the new update either. However, I do see the atom button you mentioned. The atom button is the new Automate AI option. This provides suggestions that can save you time by accurately automating bookkeeping.
You can customize your columns by clicking on the small gear icon in the top right corner of the listed transactions.
If you don't wish to customize the columns, you may try a different browser or incognito mode to see if the columns will revert back.
That should do the trick. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. Take care and have a great day ahead!
