Welcome to the Online Community. Yes, you can add the percentage to the product cost.
Since the items are already added to your company, I suggest entering the new amount manually instead of importing them. This is to avoid duplication of records.
For future reference, check out the Change Product and Service types article. It provides an overview of which item type you can change and steps to edit it.
I want to make sure this is taken care of for you. If you have additional questions or concerns while working in QBO, leave a comment below. I’m here ready to help you.
Dear b-porter,
Thank you for your question. There is also a possibility to bulk update your products by uploading an excel file to one of the importing apps. If you already have your products listed in the file you would need to enter a formula there to have your costs altered by 15% and import that. However, in case you don't have your products on the list you can export your product data using such apps and then have the new costs inserted in there.
Basically, what you need to have an excel file with only product names and new costs for them. The application will search through the products listed and update them in your QuickBooks Online.
I can suggest you using Business Importer app from the Intuit Appstore. They do have guides for every entity and also a friendly support team that will be eager to help you to achieve success.
I wish you continuous prosperity. Should you have any questions - I will be glad to help.
