Thanks for reaching out to us, brad-palmer.

Yes, you can upload an Excel file containing missing bank transactions manually. I'll share some information about bank feeds feature and make sure you can enter all missing bank transactions into QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks will download your bank transaction automatically every night when you connect your bank account. Transactions also missing due to the timing of when a bank changes a pending transaction to cleared and processed. Also, the software depend on the information share by your financial institution.

Let's manually update your bank account to refresh the connection between your bank account and QuickBooks, allowing transaction to appear. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to Banking on the left panel.
  2. Click on the Banking link.
  3. Select the account you’re working on.
  4. Next, click on the Update button.

If you're still unable to locate them, you can manually download the missing bank transactions from your bank's website and import them into QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions for how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps.
  3. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it.
  4. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  5. Select the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  6. Click the Link account dropdown, then choose Upload from file.
  7. Select Browse and then select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then Next.
  8. In the QuickBooks account ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then select Next.
  9. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then hit Next.
  10. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then Next.
  11. Click Yes, then Let's go.
