Can the column widths of Bank Register be changed?

Hello there, @Mio3.

Yes. Inside QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can adjust the widths in your bank register to see the full details of the transactions. I'll gladly input the steps below to get you going. To begin, here's how:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, go to the Accounting tab.
  3. Select Chart of accounts, and then locate the bank that you'd like modify the columns.
  4. click the View register below the Action column.
  5. Hover you mouse to the line of the field where you want to adjust the width.
  6. You'll see the Cursor V split KurtKyle_M_0-1679949613525.pngicon, and then you'll want to drag it to left or right direction depending on your preference.

For visual reference, see the screenshot that I've attached.

Can the column widths of Bank Register be changed?

I thought I replied, “yes, thank you” it did work for the interior columns. I would like to not have to do this every time I get into QBO. My biggest problem is the “balance” on far right - it’s about 3” wide with some figures off the screen.

Can the column widths of Bank Register be changed?

I would feel the same way, @vannet2023. I'm stepping into the thread to share more insights about the column widths of the bank register in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The system allows you to adjust the columns by moving the lines as instructed by KurtKyle_M above. I understand your interest to get simplified fields without altering them every time you access your account register. While you need to do it by hand, I recommend sending a feature request directly to our product developers. This way, they can determine what enhancements and improvements are needed to make our product more effective and convenient for our users.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Tap Next to submit.

On the other hand, you can run through the resources from these links for more hints while reviewing your account registers in QBO:

When you're ready to match your statements, you can go ahead and proceed with your reconciliations. You can check out this article as your reference: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

I appreciate you joining the thread today. If you have follow-up questions, let me know by leaving a comment below. I'm more than happy to help you again. Have a good one!
