QB Online not connecting to Dell Financial Services. States username is to long. Using same username on as on the actual site. This same setup used to work before both QB and Dell made changes. Is there any way to connect to DFS?
I understand the importance of having your Dell Financial Services (DFS) bank account connected in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @hardwirecs.
Currently, there's an ongoing investigation about the error "The username is too long" when connecting the DFS bank in QBO. Rest assured that our product engineers are working nonstop to fix the issue so you can get back to working order.
To ensure you'll get notified of the updates, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support team.
In addition, you can check this article to learn how to review downloaded bank and credit card transactions: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Stay in touch if you have bank connectivity to QuickBooks Online concerns. I'll be around to provide detailed instructions for them.
You can use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) for the time being.

Hi I see this post was started in Feb, but it's now June; are there any updates?
Hi, I see this question was addressed in Feb 2024, it's now June 2024, any updates?
Connecting to Dell Financial services worked great for a number of years and then suddenly stopped. I'm not currently willing to purchase additional software to build a workaround for something that used to work... I would say that it could be on Dell's side, but QB online just gives an error that the username is too long...
It wasn't actually addressed. The error is that the username is to long. The username is an email address. It strikes me as an easy fix on QB side, yet its been months and months...
Thank you for replying to this thread, MattCIII and hardwirecs.
For the update, on the connection to Dell Financial Services. Upon checking our records, the investigation has already been closed. The product engineers have already solved the problem.
For the workaround, Product Engineers have created a new bank option during the link account workflow. Instead of Dell Financial Services, you must select Dell Financial Services - Business to connect to QuickBooks Online.
I will add this article so that you can learn how to connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.
Once your bank is linked with QuickBooks, you may immediately review and categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Please respond to the thread and post on the outcomes after the bank is connected to QuickBooks. It is my priority that you achieve the achievement you seek.
