Credit card reconciliation

I'm trying to reconcile my credit card accounts. However, the last payment I made did not clear before the statement was issued. So, I go in check off the charges, but don't check the payment I made, as it didn't show on the statement. All looks okay, however, when it asks if I want to enter a bill for payment later, it wants to enter for the full statement amount, which obviously, includes the previous payment. How do I get it to enter the amount less the previous payment?

Credit card reconciliation

Hello there, @kjohnston99.

When reconciling Credit Card accounts, we'll have to make sure to enter the correct ending balance. If this matches the statement without the payment, it will not ask you to create a full statement amount.

Also, I'd recommend seeking assistance from your accountant for the reconciliation process.

Credit card reconciliation

Thank you. But that wasn't what I needed. I did figure out how to do what I needed to do. I simply needed to change the amount when it asked if I wanted to enter a bill.

I believe you misunderstood what I was asking. I specifically said there was no reconciliation problem. I simply needed to know how to change the amount I was paying when a previous payment crossed in the mail.

But thank you anyway.
