Discovering undocumented limits for QuickBooks Mobile Check Deposit

We are trying to use QuickBooks mobile check deposit and keep getting an error messages stating that we can only deposit 20 checks every 30 days. When we call support they seem unaware of any limit on the number of checks we can deposit. We are aware of the dollar amount limits. Someone at intuit needs to address these issues.

Discovering undocumented limits for QuickBooks Mobile Check Deposit

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, kdziedz1.

Since you're receiving a message advising that you can deposit 20 checks every 30 days, you have a check limit on your QuickBooks Checking account. To see the account's transaction limits, sign in to it on a mobile device. They'll be displayed when you snap a check.

If you'd like to look into the possibility of submitting a request to raise these limits, I'd recommend getting in touch with our QuickBooks Payments team. They'll be able to pull up your QuickBooks Checking account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and see if it's possible to look into raising these limits.

They can be reached while you're signed in.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Help (?) icon.

  2. Click Contact Us.

  3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.

  4. Select Start messaging or Get a call.

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

I've also included a couple detailed resources about working with mobile check deposit which may come in handy moving forward:

Please don't hesitate to send a reply if there's any questions. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Discovering undocumented limits for QuickBooks Mobile Check Deposit

I followed the instructions above and received a call back from QB and they advised me to contact Green Dot with a number they supplied. Unfortunately, that was wrong too.  You must get in touch with the payments department at QuickBooks. Eventually I was able to speak to a knowledgeable support person who informed that the limits are based on an algorithm and cannot be manually overridden. Hopefully this low number will increase soon as I cannot run a business on being able to deposit less than 1 check a day.
