entering bulk transactions into a credit card account that is not linked

I'll lend a hand on adding transactions in bulk while linking your credit card account in QuickBooks Online, oceansidejan1.

You can start by manually importing those entries by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Click the Link account▼ dropdown, then choose Upload from file.
  3. Press Drag and drop or select files downloaded from your bank. Then, select Continue.
  4. In the QuickBooks account▼ dropdown, pick Add new.
  5. Choose Credit Card under the Account Type dropdown then fill in the necessary fields.
  6. Tap Save and Close, then Continue.
  7. Review the format and transactions to import, then follow the onscreen instructions.

I'm adding some screenshots for reference:

To review the file format and size, check out this guide: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Another way to accomplish this is by going through the Chart of Accounts to click the New button and then choosing Credit Card in the Account Type ▼ dropdown. Refer to this article for complete details: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

Once done, scan this material to classify downloaded entries: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Save this reference to match your bank and credit card statements moving forward: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

I'm delighted to walk you through setting up your credit card account and bringing your transactions into the program. For additional help relating to banking concerns, share them in this thread. I'll be here for you.

You can use MT Online or one of the converter tools with a one time license (e.g csv2qbo @ $60) as a workaround.
