Every week I have to call in to have the "There's an issue with your bank account" issue resolved. My banking information is solid, but every week I get this message!!!!

The issue results in tax payments not being paid and my inability to pay them manually. From what I can tell, the QB experts are only lifting the restriction on the account and not resolving the recurring issue.

Let me make it up to you by sharing some troubleshooting steps to resolve the error message.

 

To start, let's manually update the connection between the bank and QuickBooks Online. This can fix the issue.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Select the Banking tab.
  3. Click UpdateCapture.PNG

 

If the issue persists, log in to your financial institution's website. From there, let's check for any alerts or notifications that may cause this problem.

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Select Link account
  3. Search for your bank and select it.
  4. Copy the URL listed for your bank.Capture1.PNG
  5. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website using the copied URL.

Once done, check the following:

 

  1. Check your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  2. Look for any display issues as you navigate the website. These can block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
  3. Check your bank’s website for any announcements about new security requirements.

 

If none of these fixes the error, I'd recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Support Team again. They have full access to your account and can further investigate this. They can also determine its main cause to ensure it won't happen again to you or to other customers.

 

I'd also suggest reconciling your account. This ensures your books are accurate and there aren't any duplicate transactions.
