can’t down load csv
Hi there, DverseScott.
Thanks for stopping by the Community space. I’ll help and ensure you’ll be able to download the CSV file downloaded into QuickBooks Online.
To successfully import bank transactions, the CSV file must be formatted correctly. If it contains some special characters, you’ll then receive an error when importing it.
If you experience any issues importing your CSV file, make sure your file doesn't break any of the following formatting restrictions:
• 0's are not allowed anywhere in the file, e.g $0 should be left blank.
• $ symbols are not allowed, e.g $234 should be 234.
• Commas for thousands are not allowed, e.g 2,111 should be 2111.
• Other special characters such as #, %, and & are not allowed.
• Correct any transactions with the amount showing in the description column.
• Remove the word “amount" if it appears in the credit or debit column, i.e. credit amount, debit amount.
• Correct and standardize the date format to a single format i.e. dd/mm/yyyy.
• MAC users must save the file as a Windows CSV file.
I’ve added links on how to import bank transactions via Excel CSV file and troubleshoot WebConnect errors. You’ll find detailed instructions by going directly to the Troubleshooting WebConnect errors section.
After following the resolution steps, you'll be able to seamlessly download the CSV file.
Keep me posted if you need some help about working in QBO. I'd be glad to lend a helping hand. Wishing you the best.
