HELLO I AM. HAVING DIFFICULTY LINKING MY BANK ACCOUNT WITH QUICK BOOKS.

Hello there, @ysmeliao.

Let me ensure that you can connect your online banking to QuickBooks Online (QBO). This way, you can easily categorize the transactions coming from your bank.

Beforehand, can you share what bank institution are you with? Also, do you encounter a specific error when linking this to your QBO Company?

When linking your bank account to your QBO, you’ll want to double-check the URL when looking for the institution. It could be that your financial provider has multiple versions that inquire different security requirements.

On the other hand, let’s perform some browser troubleshooting steps. To start with, let's launch the website in a private or incognito browser. Your browsing history won't be saved in this mode, which also aids in isolating any website problems.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

Once signed in, connect your bank account again. If you're able to do so, let's clear the browser's cache. It's also best to use supported browsers to have the most secure experience with QuickBooks.

In the meantime, you can also manually upload your bank transactions. Refer to the guidelines below:

  1. Sign in to your bank website.
  2. Follow the instructions on how to download your transactions as a CSV file.
  3. Once downloaded, navigate to the Gear icon in your QuickBooks account.
  4. Select Import data and choose Bank data.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps under Manually upload your transactions.
  6. Review the column headers and data then click Continue to start the import.

Once done, browse these resources for your reference when categorizing transactions and reconciling your account.
