Hey how do I link my credit card to my account?

I'd be glad to help keep the process of linking your credit card to your account easy and simple, info-snap360-stu.

You can follow the step-by-step process below of linking your credit card account to QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Click Banking or Transactions in the left panel and choose the Banking tab.
  2. Select Connect Account on the landing page if this is your first time connecting. If you've already created one, select Add account or Link account.

  3. Search for your bank. You can connect with most banks, even small credit unions.

You can read through this article for your reference: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online. This will provide you a brief video to serve as your visual guide as well as another way to link your account.

Once imported, I recommend editing, assigning, and categorizing your transactions. Also, you can match them to the existing entries in the software. Just go to the For Review tab from the Banking menu. Doing so will help you ensure the accuracy of your financial records.

Loop me in if you still need help with linking your credit card or have follow-up questions about QuickBooks. I'll be around to help.

Hey how do I link my credit card to my account?

Hello,

I am having issues importing credit card transactions to a previously created account in QBO. I have connected the account but the previously established account does not appear in the drop down menu. So now all of my imported transactions are in a "new" credit card account rather than the previously established one. When I attempt to "merge" the two I receive an error message saying the account name/number is already in use.

Hey how do I link my credit card to my account?

My credit card is not found when I try to add it and at the window "Can't find your bank" I've added it several times but it's still not there. What should I do?

Hey how do I link my credit card to my account?

We'd be delighted to see you here, @Nate00. Allow me to help you with this Online banking concern.

There are a few reasons why a bank does not appear when you add it to QuickBooks Online. These includes:

  • Our list includes several names from the bank. Make sure to try every possible link. You can also search for the bank using the sign-in URL to ensure you use the correct listing.
  • Not all types of accounts are supported (for example, personal vs. business accounts).
  • Your bank is not a participating financial institution.

We can, however, request assistance from the bank if it is not a participating financial institution. These steps will show you how to do it:

  1. Go back to the Banking menu, then click Add account.
  2. Search for the name of your bank again. Then, you will be prompted Hmm, we cannot find [name of the bank you entered] in our list of supported banks, and pop-ups with helpful tips to try and locate your bank account.
  3. Click Request support for your bank.
  4. Enter your bank's web address (URL) in the field provided, then select Request.

Meanwhile, you can use a CSV file to import your banking transactions. For more information, see this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

You may visit these links to guide you on how to categorize your transactions and reconcile your account flawlessly:

If you have any additional QuickBooks-related questions, please post them in the Community. We are always available and willing to assist you with your inquiries. Have a wonderful day ahead of you.

@Nate00

Another option, use MT Online or one of the converter tools as a workaround.
