How can I upload the last two years from PNC?

Good day, gpaul.

You can download a CSV copy of your banking transactions from PNC's website. Then, import them to QuickBooks Online. The program also accepts Quicken (QFX), QuickBooks Online (QBO), or Microsoft Money (OFX) files.

Here's how to import them in:

  1. Go to the Banking menu and select Banking
  2. Select the bank or credit card account.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow beside Update and select File upload.
  4. Click Browse, then look for the file and click on it.
  5. Click Open
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to upload the file.

We also have guide articles that talks about importing old banking transactions for more details. Feel free to check them out.

You can always reply to this conversation if you have follow-up questions. Thanks for dropping by.

the advice is out of date at least where PNC Bank is concerned.   It doesn't seem possible to download anything but PDF files from Virtual Wallet and Quickbooks won't let me manually enter deposits into Self-Employed.  Furthermore, on-line help is constantly broken.

Hi @SportHorse,

If your online bank only offers a PDF file download for your transactions, then I suggest looking for a 3rd party application that can convert a PDF to a CSV.

When you have the CSV file ready, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Imports.
  2. Tap Import older transactions located on the right of the account you want to upload the transactions.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.
  4. Hit Import.

A detailed list of steps for importing bank transactions can be found here: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'll be around in case you need further assistance. Post a question in the comments below, and I'll be sure to get back to you.
