Hello there. Welcome to the Community.
Let's make your newly added bank account inactive in your chart of accounts so you can remove it from the list and keep your financial data organized in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
You're unable to permanently delete an account, except for merging one account into another. However, you can make it inactive to remove it from your list. Based on your description, I can tell that you've never used the account or its balance is $0. With this, you can easily make it inactive. To do this, here's how:
- Go to Settings or the Gear icon.
- Select Chart of accounts.
- Find the account you want to delete.
- Select the Action ▼ dropdown and choose the Make inactive option.
