QuickBooks Online (QBO) is designed to automatically download transactions up to a certain date when you link a bank account. 90 days is the industry standard. To get the older ones, you'll need to upload them manually.
I can provide you with the step-by-step process to manually upload those older historical transactions into your QBO account. Here's how:
- Go to Transactions, then Bank transactions.
- Choose the blue tile corresponding to the account where you want to upload the file.
- Click on the Link account dropdown.
- Hit the Upload from file.
- Select Drag and drop or select files and select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then click Continue.
- Follow the onscreen steps.
- Choose the transactions you want to import.
- After reviewing your transactions, click on Done to complete the process.
