I totally agree! Turbotax and Quickbooks are the same company, but can't talk to each other?! I don't get it. I thought Quickbooks was going to simplify my taxes.
I followed all the steps - exported QBO to QBDT, importing QBT to TurboTax - it's been running for about 2 hours. It feels like it's frozen. How long can I expect this import to TurboTax to take? Not a happy camper as I was a Sr. Software Exec for almost 30 years - 20 of it in SaaS. This should be a very simple button click from one company product to another. I'm stuck for this year but unless you can minimize my pain I won't stay.

This is insane. They push QB Online at every turn, and want nearly $2000 a year for Quickbooks Desktop, and I can't port over my information from QBO to TT?? I have to go through and do it manually?? This is the last time I use ANY Intuit product!

Do Xero and TT talk to each other?
Hi there, acubeth.
TurboTax is a tax preparation software by Intuit, compatible with QuickBooks, that makes filing taxes easy. To know more about it, you can check out its official website.
If you want to integrate TurboTax with Xero, I suggest reaching out to Xero support to confirm the compatibility of the products.
I also suggest contacting the Intuit Developer Team to help verify the possibility of creating an API integration between the two programs.
